Butterfly Wonderland is one of the most enormous glasshouses for butterflies in the united states of America. It mimics a rainforest where butterflies can roam freely, land on you, and survive.  The faux rainforest can hold up to 3,000 different butterflies (about 70 different species) from all over the planet! That is so cool!

You can watch them sip nectar from flowers, sunbathe, and dance in the wind. If you’re lucky, you can watch chrysalis turn into butterflies. They also have beautiful Koi fish and some chickens for the kids to enjoy. I recommend going to the 3D Theatre, where you learn about their lives through the short film called “Flight of the Butterflies.”

Besides having this wonderful butterfly conservatory, they also have a Rainforest Reptile Exhibit. This is where you get “up close and personal with the reptiles and amphibians that coexist with butterflies in the rainforest.” – (Butterfly Wonderland/#1). After you’re done with your experience, you can visit the Cafe for a savory snack and yummy drinks.

This exhibit is located at 9500 E. Via de Ventura Scottsdale, AZ 85256, right next to the OdySea Aquarium.
